Shaftesbury Theatre Stalls

This is the largest section of the theatre, and anywhere you sit is likely to be excellently priced, comfortable with good legroom, and with great views! The best seats are located centrally between seats 12-24. The ends of the rows which will give you a side view of the stage. The Royal Circle overhang cuts off the top of the stage from Row R, but this does not always affect the enjoyment of the production, nor is it reflected in the price of tickets. There is a bar located on this level with limited seating, and bathrooms available near the end of the section.

Shaftesbury Theatre Royal Circle

The Royal Circle offers some of the best views of the stage, particularly towards the centre of the first rows, seats 10-26. There is also adequate legroom throughout, with seats at the end of Row H and J offering extra legroom due to having no seats in front of them. The Grand Circle overhang sits over rows L-N, which can drastically affect enjoyment of the show, especially as the stage already feels particularly far away from these seats. Therefore, Row N is often sold at a discounted rate due to poor views.

Shaftesbury Theatre Grand Circle

The Grand Circle is the highest section and feels most distant from the stage, but catch a seat in the front few rows, particularly between seats 14-24, and you’ll be able to enjoy excellent views, albeit with slightly cramped legroom. The back of the theatre has limited views as the top of the theatre blocks a portion of upstage.

Which Seats Offer The Best View?

The best seats in the Shaftesbury Theatre are located in the centre of the Stalls, in rows D-H, seats 10-26, which are located centrally to provide best views of the entire stage. The front rows of the Royal Circle also offer great views, particularly in rows A-D, seats 12-24.

Which Seats Offer the Best Value for Money?

The end of the Royal Circle seating section often offers up some good bargains, which can feel distant from the stage but still offers an overall good view. Seats in the Grand Circle are often reduced, central seating in seats 14-24 are good options to avoid any obstructions.
