The Story of Sistas
After the death of the family’s matriarch, five women come together to clean her attic, and find her life, love, and memories packed away in boxes. During the process, they start singing songs that trace the history of African-American women through the years. Starting with the trials of 1930s, the girl groups of the 60s, to empowerment in the 1990s. Get ready to jump on your feet and dance to songs like “Oh, Happy Day”, “Mama Said”, “I Will Survive”, “Tyrone”, “I Am Not My Hair” and “A Woman’s Worth”.
