Sofitel New York, the official hotel of the Tony Awards located in the heart of the theater district, has just the accommodation for super-fans of Sara Bareilles’ hit musical Waitress: a suite entirely dedicated to the Broadway musical.

The room, outfitted with luxurious amenities, features original costumes displayed on the walls, including Molly Hager’s original waitress uniform worn as Becky, and Jason Mraz’s lab coat worn as Dr. Pomatter. Framed signed posters by Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz, Katharine McPhee, and a Playbill signed by the entire original 2016 Broadway cast also adorn the walls, as well as iconic props from the musical such as a vintage pie shop sign, a Joe’s Pie diner menu, and a diner bar seat. And of course, no Waitress-themed suite would be complete without baking essentials and Sugar, Butter, Flour: The Waitress Cookbook. Guests of the suite are given a complimentary slice of pie and welcome letter directly from the cast of the musical.

In addition to luxurious Broadway accommodation, guests can enjoy one-time complimentary Waitress Winter Old Fashioned cocktails and two slices of Jenna’s Rhubarb & Cranberry Crumble. Daily breakfast is also included in the Sofitel package.

Based on the 2007 movie of the same title, Waitress follows small-town baker Jenna (originated by Jessie Mueller in the original Broadway cast) who wants nothing more than a way out of her abusive, loveless marriage. Sara Bareilles, the composer and lyricist behind the hit musical, returned to the musical earlier this week as the lead, Jenna, opposite Gavin Creel (Hello, Dolly!) as Dr. Pomatter.

The musical also has a national tour, as well as a production in London starring Katharine McPhee (of Smash fame and who recently played Jenna on Broadway) and Jack McBrayer (30 Rock).

The Waitress Suite can be booked through February 2019. For more information, visit https://www.sofitel-new-york.com/ or call 212-782-3013.
