‘Be More Chill’ Releases New Artwork for Broadway

Be More Chill, the Broadway-Bound musical featuring music lyrics by Joe Iconis and a book by Joe Tracz, has unveiled new artwork for its Broadway launch, beginning February 13 at The Lyceum Theater.

“We were so thrilled and completely honored to be included in the process of designing the new artwork for Be More Chill,” says Joe Iconis. “It was a little terrifying to think of changing the basic image we’ve had since 2015, which is why it was important for us to maintain the key component of the image. The subject of the Be More Chill artwork has always been an average, nothing-special, slightly nerdy kid. What we love about the new version is that we’ve elevated our average Joe (or Average Jeremy, as it were) to the level of full-blown poster boy.”

“Our electric neon, 80’s and 90’s-inspired imagery is an unabashed celebration of a geeky misfit,” says Joe Tracz. “Our poster isn’t a glamour shot of a fancy model, it’s a geek-tastic explosion of sci-fi neediness, complete with a back-pack and a prominently displayed alien monster emoji. We can’t wait to see this thing reflected in the cab windows of Times Square. Or on the label of an out-of-print game from 1992 or a vintage cassette from 1987.”
