West End Guide: Peacock Theatre Seating Plan

Navigating the Peacock Theatre Seating Plan

The Peacock Theatre has a capacity of 999 seats that are spread across two primary seating sections, the stalls and dress circle. The stalls hold a major chunk of the seats at 707 seats with the remaining 283 seats located in the dress circle section and the stage is approximately 36 feet (11 m) by 33 feet (10 m). Let’s look at each seating section in detail to help you identify the best seats in the house.

Peacock Theatre Stalls

The stalls are, without a doubt, the biggest seating section in the theatre. The section is further divided into one large block of seating and three smaller sections by the aisles. The best seats can be found in the centre of the stalls, with a good rake, which allows clear views throughout the auditorium. The dress circle overhang starts to overshadow seats that are located two-thirds of the way at the back end of the auditorium. On the whole, the overhang does not restrict views to a great extent, and the rear stalls seats can offer pretty good views at a discounted price.

Peacock Theatre Dress Circle

The dress circle, being the only elevated seating section of the theatre, offers good views throughout the auditorium. The section features a very limited curve which ensures that most seats face the stage head-on. This section is split into the front and rear sections by a wall and safety bars right behind Row D, which may cause a slight restriction to rows that fall directly behind. The best seats can be found in the centre of the front four rows, although seats towards the ends of the rows still offer a good view for a discounted price. Since this section is much smaller than the stalls, legroom here is good.

Which Seats Offer The Best View?

A good theatre experience is good as long as you’re sitting at the right place. Here are the best seating options for The Snowman.

Premium seats in the Peacock Theatre are located in the centre of the stalls, in rows E-T. We deem these the best seats in the theatre, offering vivid, unhindered views of the stage. Make it a point to sit as centrally as possible for the best overall view. Also, note that seats 10-24 of Row P have limited legroom.

In the dress circle section, premium seats are located in the three front blocks of seating. The view is clear and panoramic, which works spectacularly well for large-scale productions. The section’s decent rake also allows you to see over those in front. Again, remember to pick seats as centrally as possible for the best overall view of the stage.

Which Seats Offer the Best Value for Money?

It’s understandable that you want to watch The Snowman from the best seats possible. But equally understandable is the fact that it’s the holiday season, and the show is Christmas-based, which means that tickets will sell like hotcakes and won’t be cheap. If you don’t want to spend a great deal on The Snowman tickets, we would recommend the value for money seats! These seats, while not the best in the house, are pretty darn good! And they cost a lot less than the premium seats. The best value for money seats are located in the Dress Circle and the Grand Circle. In the Dress Circle, look for seats 11-26 in rows E-G. In the Grand Circle, the best value for money seats are Seats 7-22 in rows A-E.

The Dress Circle is a great option if you’re looking to buy tickets on a budget since a good part of this section ensures great views. You can also sit in the front few rows of the stalls, which are usually discounted if you enjoy being close to all the action. Rows E-G fall under the value-for-money category, since they are located at a distance from the stage, especially when compared to top price seats. The Peacock Theatre offers great prices and great views, so you could sit in any of the seats mentioned above and get good value for money.
