Summer: The Donna Summer Musical Broadway Discount Tickets Online

A tribute to the late disco diva Donna Summer, the musical features Tony Award winner LaChanze as well as Ariana DeBose (of Hamilton fame). The musical traces her struggle to stardom, and includes 22 of her award winning original renditions such as “She Works Hard for the Money”, “Heaven Knows”, “I Feel Love”, and several other groovy tracks. The not-to-be-missed musical is definitely nothing lesser than a treat for those musically inclined.

The Story

Before she became the Donna Summer that the world remembers, she was an ordinary girl from Boston with the voice of an angel. Her incredible journey begins from a small town dreamer to a world wide diva, but not without her share of complexities and struggles. Watch as the ‘Queen of Disco’ rises above all and earns her title again in the form of a beautiful, touching tribute.

About Lunt-Fontanne Theatre

Originally named ‘The Globe’ after Shakespeare’s theatre in England, the Lunt-Fontanne theatre had a retractable one-of-its-kind roof that enabled it to stay cool in summer. The theatre played shows until 1932, after which it was turned into a movie house. After going through one too many changes, the theatre was rebuilt in 1958 as a legitimate theatre. Theatregoers today can be a part of its journey which is on collection in the lobby areas.
